Finally, thank goodness, LOL. We have Finished the Garden Fence and used Material we found on the Homestead. Re-engineering materials provided helps to maintain the diverse climate we live in and allows you to get very creative in your building. Having a Sawmill is also a huge plus. Our first mill around 6K U.S., but allowed us to build what was needed and paid for itself in the first and second build, after 11 buildings later, LOL. We begin the process of Cutting, Stripping, Burning and Crafting a Woodland Fence for a Garden Barrier for Jennifer. The materials are resourced from the Homestead and some are parts of the log that would be normally disposed of in some manner, but also have multiple uses. We have Built our own Workshop from Select Cut Trees on the homestead. Having our own Sawmill Reduces Cost and helps manage the Woodland. Every Season Has its own twist, and April in East Tennessee is "RAMP" season. Ramps are in the Garlic and Onion family and are prized by chefs for their strong flavors in cooking. We are beginning construction on our Workshop Addition. This will be our preparation area for project materials from the sawmill. Wild hogs are also a concern to our garden so we will be installing a fence around the perimeter. Hopefully this will help and deter them from coming any closer to the new house.
